We need volunteers.
So far, we’ve had 400+ white women volunteer from across the country to take part in Here 4 The Kids (and we thank them!). Yet, to make our historic sit-in of 25,000+ white women an astounding success and achieve what has never been achieved before, we still need many, many more.
This means we need YOU!
Here are all the ways that you can get involved with Here 4 The Kids:
Become an on-the-ground volunteer in Denver. This team is responsible for everything happening on-site at the Capitol beginning on June 5 and for the duration of the sit-in. To join our on-the-ground team in Denver, register to join us here. Here are the roles we need you to fill:
Luggers: These volunteers with wagons will have an assigned area they circulate with water, snacks and first aid kits, oxygen cans, and pick up trash. This is a good role for people who are acclimated to Denver and physically fit to get their steps in.
Stewards: These volunteers will stay stationary in a particular zone of the event grounds, welcoming participants and orienting them to the space, mood, community agreements, and answering their questions. This is a good role for volunteers with strong interpersonal skills, stamina and patience.
Peacekeepers: These volunteers will remain in a particular zone, and be a team with the Stewards. This is a good role for national volunteers or Denver volunteers with deescalation/mediation experience.
Social Media Liaisons: These volunteers will rove the area, connecting with the Remote Campaign, interviewing participants, doing Instagram lives, etc. This is a good role for volunteers who love to do instagram lives.
Volunteer Medics and Therapists: If you have medical and/or mental health expertise we welcome your support, please let us know.
Become a national volunteer. You don’t have to be in Denver to support Here 4 The Kids. Our national volunteer team is responsible for reaching out across the country to garner support for our movement. Here are the roles we need you to fill:
Text Banking: These volunteers will be given a script, a Google phone number with a Colorado area code and list of names and numbers. Our goal is to get as many white women to show up in Denver on June 5 as we can.
Handing Out Fliers: These volunteers will print out fliers from our website and distribute them in their local neighborhoods, farmers markets, sports activities etc…Essentially any place where there will be a lot of people.
Host a Gathering: These volunteers coordinate gatherings in their hometowns in order to canvass, hand out fliers, make signs or just to create community.
This team will also be key after June 5 as we move towards the next state. To get involved with our national volunteer effort, register to join us here and then email us directly at nationalvolunteers@here4thekids.com.
3. Become a remote campaign volunteer. Our remote campaign is an accessible way to take direct action for those who are unable or for whom it is unsafe to participate on the ground in Denver on June 5. Our online campaign will run at the same time as the on the ground sit-in and offer multiple opportunities for action. You can read more about our remote campaign and sign up to participate here.
Most importantly, of course, we need you to join us in Denver on June 5. We look forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces and inspiring souls there.
We appreciate your support and solidarity.

P.S. If you haven’t already, be sure to join our online community over in Mighty Networks! All our volunteer coordination and on-the-ground activities will be shared there.
