We invite you to join us on our Here 4 the Kids Mighty Network space where we are building community to take action now and on June 5!
ABOUT THE REMOTE CAMPAIGN
The Here 4 The Kids remote campaign is an accessible way to take direct action for those who are unable or for whom it is unsafe to participate on the ground in Denver on June 5th.
Our online campaign will run at the same time as the on the ground sit-in and offer multiple opportunities for action.
Actions will include:
Strategic social media efforts uplifting the on the ground Denver action via live stream and targeted messaging.
Instagram live interviews centering marginalized voices and perspectives.
Phone banking encouraging Colorado residents to amplify our message by making phone calls to the Governor’s office.
Art project for kids and adults - “artivism” with our H4TK call to action message and share on social media.
Storytelling and Narrative Project - adults share their personal calls to action via personal stories focusing on the intersection of gun violence, white supremacy, and marginalized and/or vulnerable identities.
Grief and Loss program - join us via zoom for an opportunity to hold space to honor the loss experienced by gun violence.
Buy merch and post pictures to social media with campaign hashtags and messaging!
Who is the remote campaign for?
The Here 4 The Kids movement strategy prioritizes the safety of historically marginalized and vulnerable populations such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, non citizens, and disabled folks whose bodies are often on the front lines fighting for human and civil rights and at higher risk for violence and harm.
To ensure the safety and accessibility of our marginalized and vulnerable populations, our remote campaign offers a space for anyone who is:
Under the age of 18
BIPOC - Black, brown, indigenous, people of color
LGBTQIA+ - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual
Disabled, chronically ill/immunocompromised, caregiving/caretaking
Non-citizens/non-visa holders
People experiencing financial insecurity
Will the on the ground event in Denver, CO. be accessible?
Because this is an act of civil disobedience and we are not applying for permits, we cannot implement ADA compliant accommodations beyond what the city of Denver may already have in place.
We will, however, do our best to accommodate requests but may not be able to guarantee full access.
Questions about accessibility please email remotecampaign@here4thekids.com
